It's been sat on '3 minutes remaining' for the last five minutes, at least. I suspect these are the same people who run the trains over here.

It's patching can take the piss......

Is now a bad time to mention the "pre patch" that it might start trying to download after you leave the game.......

I'll admit I sometimes have to turn it off and turn it back on again to get it to pick up patching.

I tried that last night - it went from 2kbps up to about 50, and finished the download really quickly.


Went for a paladin human, wandered around and bashed things with me hammer, then got my arse handed to me on a plate by some bandits. Dead several times, then wandered off somewhere else.

do you just logout when you're done, or do you have to find somewhere safe to be first?

You can just log out wherever, but you will will not get 'rested'. If you go to a town with an in (or in any major city) your character will 'rest' while in there and you will get double xp for smashing things for a while. Just look for little zzz's on the picture of your character where the level usually is (upper left).

You know, I think I have a character on your server already...should take a look (grin).

At the start of the game your in a safe area..... teh training area. At some point you'll move on (about level 5) from there to shared areas. Once your in a shared area it's worth logging out in an inn - if only because you get "rested xp" whioch means for a chunk of time you get more exp for your kills.
