I've finally persuaded K that we need to upgrade the laptop. The old one is unreliable, and takes up a huge amount of space on the desk as we have it linked up to a second monitor (don't use the laptop screen at all, and there are wires and stuff everywhere.

So, dear reader. I reckon my budget is around the £300 mark. Don't need anything too fancy, but I'd like to be able to play games on it, do photography editing, and so on.

Not cutting edge games, but being able to play WoW or EVE at a decent resolution would be nice.

Should I go for something like this from PC World (Acer Aspire X3200, 2GB RAM, 160GB HD), or should I consider the home build route?
