With all the financial meltdown going on here across the pond, what's the mood like over there?

ah, we've got meltdown too - couple of local banks in trouble. I think it's more of a market correction and consolidation, but some people are pretty worried.
Luckily we fixed our mortgage rate for 5 years when we remortgaged the house, so hopefully things will be back to normal by the time we need to worry about it.
