Not to annoy you too much but you missed a damn fine gig. I'm about to upload pics onto Flickr, will write my review tomorrow. Lakeman did the best rendition of The Colliers *ever*. His band were also awesome. :)
You have to see him live if you get another chance as he's all about the performance.
I saw him play live at Greenbelt over the summer, and he was the highlight of the festival for me. His rendition of Kitty Jay, with just him on the stage was literally stunning.
Preferred it with just him and his fiddle, but the guitar stuff was pretty damn good too. For some reason I thought it was in December, not November, and kept meaning to go get tickets.
See I confess to not liking Kitty Jay but he played my two favouites, Colliers and Blood Upon Copper plus my new favourite, Poor Man's Heaven. Very happy am I even if it was an odd set list.
