I find it impossible to listen to Rossini's Il Barbiere di Siviglia without thinking of Bugs and Elmer in The Rabbit of Seville

yes, I've moved on from Sigur Ros.

ME TOO!

Actually, I'm sort of ashamed to admit it, but I think I learned most of my classical music from Looney Toons. Sad, isn't it? LOL

Now, "Duh-duhduh-duh-duh....Duh-duhduh-duh-duh" is going through my head! Thanks a lot! heh!

Oh my gosh - so TRUE! *giggle*

What I don't understand is what I saw in Bugs when I was younger? I mean, NOW, I think he's hilariously brilliant, witty and oh my gosh - risque! So....what in the world made him so funny back then when ALL OF IT went over my head?!

=)

I think the snarky/sarcastic attitude spoke volumes without regard for the content. I know exactly what you mean!

I love going back and catching new references because I've just watched some movie or read an old book or heard an old news story. Looney Toons were like the Entertainment Tonight and People Magazine of that time! LOL

Could be worse. We went to a baptism a couple of weeks ago and the other half had to try really really hard not to snigger whilst singing "All things Bright and Beautiful" as he only knew it as "All things Dull and Ugly" from Monty Python's Meaning of Liff. Terrible.

BTW have you ever hear Flanders and Swann's Ill Wind? You'll never hear that piece of Mozart in the same way again.
