Feb. 12th, 2011 10:10 pmI've acquired the use of a rather nice ukulele, courtesy of my neighbour. It's just a loan, but it's a lovely lovely thing.
He's offered to tune it for me, but I thought I'd give it a go using an online ukulele tuner, at which point I discovered that it's not a standard tuning (gCEA) but a baritone (DGBE)
not that that means much to me, not knowing anything much about music. Suffice it to say, this could take some time. It (to me) sounds more like a guitar, where the notes go from low to high, whereas I believe that a soprano/tenor uke goes high - low, higher, highest.
I've also just opened a nice bottle of shiraz. What could possibly go wrong?
