Jan. 6th, 2009 10:44 pmemail from ISP: close to the broadband limit, again.
checked usage. 2.41GB, *today*
The 'puter has only been on since 7pm.
Hmm. Strange things happenin' at the Circle K.
I *had* been trying to download a zip file of back issues of JPG magazine, which was taking forever, so unless it was just repeatedly trying to get the 220MB+ file and failing?
Other than that, is there a way of seeing *what* my 'puter has been doing for the last 3 hours?

Date: 2009-01-06 11:57 pm (UTC)The wii didn't work with the WEP enabled in my pre-christmas trial, but I didn't have long to try it and couldn't be arsed faffing on. Now it's all set up properly, I can give it another go.
Oddly the Wii would connect to the router, whereas the DS wouldn't - and the DS wouldn't connect to the Wii when trying to download games (which it should), even with WEP turned off.
One of the mysteries. The need for a secure network outweighs the need to play online games on the wii, for now.

Date: 2009-01-07 09:15 am (UTC)My wii and encryption work in harmony ok.
I also have a whitelist of Mac addresses in my router as a extra layer.
If your Mac aint down you aint coming in.
Yes I know Macs can be spoofed. But I don't think any of my neighbours are up to that. 1 guy thinks he is but he is possibly up to t'internet for dummies level
