work: crazy busy. No (or little) internet access.

me: tired. Oh, so tired.

I miss the internet, I really do. Which is probably quite sad of me. I miss keeping up with what you lot are up to.

I still have a lot of net access, but LJ has been blocked, making it extremely difficult to keep up with everyone. :(

I'm up to wearing a purple wig and getting asked for my ID in a bar because I didn't look old enough to drink.

Now I know it was the wig that threw her off, but I keep telling myself, it's a wig not a mask. My face was definitely still showing.

Evenings? I had to set up a filter & only read my absolute favourite people regularly, so i can sort of keep up with it all.

Well, this corner of it does.

I am pissing about on it right now:-)
I got a warning about it in my last job.
Now I am self employed I should look sternly at myself

in all my wanderings through this new job, I've not seen *anyone* using the internet at their PCs, not even in IT.

yes, but it's not great for LJ stuff, which is where most of my friends post the most. Ah well, think of the paycheck. :-)

"Normal" jobs don't allow internet access. I only had it on my desktop if I needed it for work in my banking jobs. We also weren't allowed to have our mobiles switched on in office hours, though parents with children at nursery / schools used to argue that they needed them, so were allowed to leave them on their desks, but not to use them. I actually thought all this was normal, as never knew any different!

When I temped in an accountancy office doing the filing, filling the drinks machine (surprisingly good fun actually) & being in charge of the meeting rooms, I was allowed to play on the internet if I'd finished the filing & had set the meetings up. I didn't use lj then & facebook prob hadn't been invented, so it wasn't that much fun. Now, I'd love it :)
