My main problem is that I bought a different lens to the one I had intended to. I have absolutely no way of knowing if the one I have is significantly worse (or better) than the one I had intended to buy.
The other thing is that I wanted it for my Scotland holiday, which is coming up soon - had I had more time I would have tried to organise meeting up with one of my sigma-owning friends and had a go with it first.
I also need to remember that this is not the same as my everyday kit lens or my prime 50mm lens. Each has its good and bad points which need to be considered when using them.
