liveplotting

Inspired by Nick Harkaway (have you read The Gone Away World yet? Hmm? Why not?)

Liveplotting… based on five words from someone trapped in an airport lounge, I’m coming up with a storyline. Mostly to see if I can…

If you'd care to give me five words, I'll see what I can do...

of course, the *real* challenge would be to combine all of the above (including [livejournal.com profile] miss_next's, [livejournal.com profile] miss_t_ide's and [livejournal.com profile] caitirin's) into one story.

Hmm. I get the feeling that a certain gentleman thief might be involved.

And!

I challenge *you* to come up with a Lavender Tolly snippet, featuring all of the above...

Do it!

Either ask for your own, or take *all* of these suggestions, and work them into a Cai story.

I dare you! I double-dare you, with cherries onnatop!

I see. Good thing I've got a long holiday weekend ahead of me!

one should always have a plentiful supply of freshly sharpened pencils.

Luckily I have some lovely LJ chums who have sent me boxes of Dixon Ticonderoga pencils, which I believe to be standard issue in the US. They're not standard issue here, so I can always tell when someone has nicked one of my pencils.

I'm the same way with those ugly blue four-color ballpoint pens. I love them and always buy my own supply. When I started my job I brought three to work. Everyone commented on how old-fashioned and clunky they were, but they did tend to migrate around the office. And I'll bet you experience the same pang I do when you look at someone's pencil cup and see what you *know is your writing utensil.

indeed.

I'm also the same with the muji gel ink pens - I tend to buy them in bulk as I go through them at a rate. K pinches them, as do my work colleagues.

My friend S, a PM from one of our clients, asked to borrow a pen last time he was here. He not only returned it, but asked where he could get some. I told him, and at the next meeting noted that he'd bought himself a goodly supply.

Is there anything so satisfying as introducing someone to something you love and having them love it, too?
