damsons. or not.

Turns out that our damson trees have produced jolly nice fruit which is edible straight from the tree.

I thought you needed to cook damsons? Maybe they're just small plums. Or can you get eating damsons?

And, pondering further, can one still make damson gin from ready-to-eat damsons?

Either way, we're going to have a metric shedload of damsons/plums to get through. The trees are so full the branches are bent over with the weight of fruit.
