day #2 of my sort-of-holiday-between-jobs
Dropped K's mum off at the train station as she's off to K's sister's husband's father's funeral. Think I got all the apostrophes in the right place. More on apostrophes later.
Then I took the opportunity for a quick pootle around PC World, ostensibly to get some printer ink cartridges, when I spotted what I thought was a bargain - K and I wanted to get a smaller camera for general out & about trips rather than lugging the D50+lenses everywhere, and they had a Panasonic TZ9 for £219, which seemed like a decent deal until I checked at home.
Amazon have the newer TZ10 for £207, plus free case *and* £30 cashback, so that's our joint christmas present sorted. Yay for new shinies.
Tried to persuade K on the virtues of the Kindle, but she wasn't really digging it. She suggested that I make a list of all the dead-tree unread books I have, then read *them* first, whilst saving up. Should take me a while...
Then it was off to the allotment to check out the location of the rasberry bed, then time to collect the Beans from school, then swimming, tea and now onto the 'puter.
I'm knackered!
