Yes folks, it's that time of year again. The Migrating Moleskine has been back on these shores, up in glorious Scotland with [livejournal.com profile] primitivepeople for some time now, and we should probably think about moving it along.

[livejournal.com profile] primitivepeople, this is me giving you a gentle nudge, 'k? :-)

Wonder where it'll go next? And when?

:-D

It set off in April 2006. When will it return home?

:-)

You can still add your name to the list of who would like to see it next. If you would like to see the Moleskine at some point, leave a comment to this entry. If you no longer want to be on the list, that's absolutely fine too, just let me know and I'll remove your name. I know LJ has gone quiet for some people - I may review the list and ask people to re-sign up at some point.

The list of people yet to receive it:

I was just thinking about the Migratory Moleskine recently and wondering what had happened to it. Now I know.

Whoops! You are hereby added to the list of people who can see my address when clicking on the link in my profile. I know I'm waaaay down the list, but might as well get this little bit of admin out of the way. ;)

It will get updated when/if I move, because I did manage to get some kind of organisation over the years. :)

the answer: not a lot! Though for very good reasons.

I'm really in no great rush for it back, so long as it comes home at some point. I think I worked out that if it follows the average time per person, I'd get it back in 2013. That was some time ago though!

the list of recipients is fairly random - I've tended to pick a couple of likely candidates and let the person doing the sending decide - local/international, etc.

*feels guilty*

I consider myself nudged. I shall do something with it very soon.

Dude, it's sat in one spot for nearly a year? I think I've moved 2? 3? times since it started. Heh.

I've been wondering about this!!

In spite of the fact that it appears I won't get it in my hands for another couple of years (based on where I appear in the list order) I'd still love to have it at some point!

Every time this comes up, I'm delighted it still exists.

It started off fast, then slowed down a bit. A few people have had it for quite a while, then it zooms round a couple more.

As I say, I'm in no real rush. Fascinated to see it when it does come back. Did you know it's been to the White House, just after Obama's inauguration?

nah, don't sweat it. You've had a busy old time.

the list order is entirely random. I'll pick out some people, mix of local/international and let the current holder pick.

me too. I go for months then suddenly remember about it. It's travelled a long way, that little book. Even been to the White House!

thanks! Moment of inspiration many years ago. Another project did it, but set it entirely free - people would pass it on to whoever they thought, and when it was full, the last person sent it back to the address on the last page.

I wanted mine to be slightly more focussed, and get my lj friends around the world to play. So far, so good!

of course! No need for an address just yet - I'll tend to check before sending it on, make sure people haven't moved...

Thanks - it's only looking back on it that I realise we've had rather a lot on our plates.

Well alrighty then! :-)

I shall wait oh so patiently, perhaps in a nice chaise lounge with a drink, by the mailbox.

LOL!
