of course, the possible advantage to having a laptop which randomly turns itself off is having K comment that if it *does* go, perhaps we should get a new PC.

Not laptop, but proper PC, as it'd save room (currently running laptop outputting to external screen, with two external HDDs. Cables everywhere)

Of course, what I want is a shiny iMac all in one jobby.
