Have a look on Amazon or in Borders for In Forkbeard's Wake, brilliant story about building a Viking boat and sailing to the US. Funny, sarcastic and very good for satisfying pangs of wanderlust for an hour or two.
You so know that is why I want a job with travel involved don't you? So I can read on the plane, train, ferry etc! At the end of this month I am going to clear my bookcrossing availables as part of my Mission 101. I wonder what countries they're counting to get all the way up to 218. They'd have to include wierd little places like Transdniester. I wonder if it has South Ossetia in.
