We watched Hannibal Rising last night. Wouldn't normally have been on my list, but we had friends up for the weekend, and they had brought the DVD with them.

Hmm. And I thought Hannibal was bad.

Ok, Hannibal *was* bad. This... this just didn't know what it wanted to be. The guy playing Hannibal was dull. You weren't rooting for him, you weren't rooting for the bad guys, you weren't rooting for anyone.

3/10. Could do better.

Personally, I found the movie lacked the intensity of the book. Too much of it was cut for the sake of "the audience". Suggest the book anyday. (It actually made me like Lecter better, and I'm a Lecter-fangirl.)
