fractal veg!, originally uploaded by dakegra.

the most awesome vegetable in the world, ever. A romanesco broccoli

something funky happened to the colour balance, but as you can see, it just keeps going.

Tastes fab too!

romanesque

no - top one was taken with flash, bottom one was just the kitchen light. Different colour temperatures. Couldn't be arsed to work out how to fix it and wnated to post up the awesome veg, then crack on with NaNo

:-)

Ah, I couldn't work out if it was or not and thought it would be easier to ask then keep squinting and tilting my head at the screen. :)

Oh, I looooooove looking at those (never tried one, though). When I went to see [personal profile] miss_t_ide and [profile] nonameyet recently, they had some in Waitrose. :-)

Oh yes, the fractal cauliflower. Our local greengrocer has been getting them in sometimes for the last 3-4 years. Never tried one, as a whole cauli requires a bit of planning for one person to use up, so I don't buy caulis very often anyway.

The local greengrocers, Bean Beanies, is a fab place and likes to get in things like purple carrots, red bananas, and some kind of bean with creamy pods with pink markings. Must go back and check out the selection of rare pears and apples, from the national orchard, that they've had in this autumn.
