boilerman has been, diagnosed problem, and gone to get the spare part he needs.

Hope it's fixed soon, cos it's chuffin' freezing in this house.

however, if he *does* get it fixed soon, I can do my run to the tip, take back the new kettle I bought yesterday (too shiny, of all things) and get back mid-morning. Then spend the rest of the day doing NOTHING.

in the argos catalogue it looked like it was brushed steel, but when we got it out, it was polished.

in the catalogue it looked like matt brushed steel. It's actually more like polished mirror, and doesn't go with our toaster.
