Post! Yay!

today we have (ignoring the bills) a parcel for K, a Starbucks voucher for a free dark cherry mocha (yum!), and a copy of A.A. Milne's The Red House Mystery, courtesy of the Amazon Vine thingy.

woo! free coffee *and* free books! AND a day off.

Hmm. Maybe today *isn't* monday after all?

I have no post, and the plumber has run off and locked me in.

Help.

I could phone you up and read A.A. Milne's murder mystery at you?

Luckily even plumbers finish their lunch, and I'm now free, I tell you, free!

MTS: get some more keys cut.

Is that a real murder mystery by Milne? I'll be interested to hear how you like it. There was more to him than just Pooh.

It is indeed

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Red_House_Mystery

It looks rather fun, I have to say. You can download a free e-text version here:

http://www.gutenberg.org/etext/1872

but the copy I have is a rather handsome hardback which I'm looking forward to immensely.

I was going to get some of that coffee on Friday, I saw an advert and thought mmmmm

I didn't get one

no sign of a price

anywhere

and I was skint, very little change and some vouchers

so I stomped off sulkily

and they lost a sale

I just got a copy of that book at a second hand book in Florida. Weird coincidence as I'd never heard of it.
