I tried doing one a couple of years ago, and got off to a moderately good start, but it fell by the wayside after a while. It's a great concept, though, and one I'm tempted to revive as there's a lot of things I'd like to do. It might all fit in with what I'm going to do with Official Coaching Lady - I'll have to see what she thinks about it.
I like the idea of having a defined list which you can tick off.
I'll start with stuff like 'finish a Monty story', and 'print and frame one of my photos as a gift', along with some loftier goals - selling photos, learning a new language etc.

I'm thinking along very similar lines. Work has made me feel crap about my abilities, and I need to remind myself that I can actually get a lot of things right.
I found a couple of APS panoramic sized frames (4" by 10") in a WHSmith sale yesterday, and bought them - I've got loads of panoramic prints sitting in a box because they don't fit in albums and I'd never found suitable frames. I put two pics in them from my trip to South Uist in the summer, and they look brilliant. It's made me want to shoot more panoramic photos, and get more of the frames. I reckon I could find a market for some good shots framed up nicely in these.
Yay, I've now acquired someone to race with, a raw food guru, an archaeology fixer and the woman who owns Markeroni.com has offered to help me with a non-markeroni goal. People are just so freaking neat. :)
