trimming the old LJ friendslist as part of the new year's resolutions thing.

Oddly, it's ridiculously hard to take people off, even people that never comment or interact with me. Also surprised at how many people have me listed as a friend that I haven't reciprocated - I suspect a lot of those accounts are dormant though.

So, if you go, farewell. It's been fun.

I find my friends list trims itself. Less and less people are posting four hundred times a day thanks to Facebook.

I'm fed up with links to facebook since I don't have an account.

I didn't have one for ages and eventually got one just because of a few friends that only have facebook. If you turn up most if not all of the notifications, it's not bad. AT least it's not as vile as MySpace.

The trouble is, my sister uses netlog, my brother is on myspace and something else, my mum used to use her own webpage. I already have blogger, vox and moblog accounts, I really don't want another. Besides, where is the point in paying for an account on here if I have to go check everything else just to make sure I haven't missed soeone?

I spend way too much time on here and now twitter. Two accounts ought to be enough.

I don't blame anyone for getting facebook, it's just that I'm really not interested.

I was into facebook when I first got it as it amused me to throw sheep at people. Now, I hardly ever look at it,as much prefer lj.

I like twitter though :)

whereas I:

a. can't get to facebook from work, and
b. would rather post here, where you get proper interaction with people without getting a shedload of Pirate/Vampire invitations, or SuperHugZZ!/pokes and so on.

:-)

See the first thing I did was figure out how to turn all that off. There's an options at the bottom of those things that says 'block application'. Also you can turn off notifications for all that so it doesn't turn up on you news tab.

I found the block application thing, but people keep finding new and more irritating ones to bombard me with.

It's sort of useful to see what people are up to, but a lot of times it's someone I've not seen for years popping up to say 'hi, it's been ages! how are you?' then not interacting again.

When I first started on LJ it was a same thing. You don't have to friend everyone you know.
