trying to set up the D50 with Nikon Capture, so I can try tethered shooting via USB

stupid thing not working - it's telling me there's no camera found.

IT'S THERE!

USB set to PTP mode, drivers installed etc etc.

Yes. I've had it work quite successfully with capture one pro.

Woops. Yes I did mean camera control pro. I think I have capture one on the brain at the moment.

I assumed I'd need Capture - I had a trial version bundled with the D50, which is what I had all the problems getting to work. I've downloaded a trial of Capture NX2, but also downloaded some PTP drivers, and am not sure which of the two fixed my problem!
