Just watched Cloudspotting on BBC4. Fascinating programme about clouds.

[edit] I love this sort of thing - people who are so passionate about their 'thing' that their enthusiasm just sparkles off the screen. Gavin Pretor-Pinney is just such a bloke, delightfully eccentric and boundlessly excited.

I used to look for that in interviews - find the button which gets the candidate all enthused, and see if it fits what we were looking for.

The 'cloud psychic' was a bit odd though. I was happily watching, clouds, clouds, stuff, clouds, cloud psychic, stuff...

I liked Gavin muttering about James Randi at him, though. And when he started saying things like "You worry people won't take you seriously"...I think the clouds may have been talking about him, not Gavin, there!
