42-shot stitched panoramic of the view out of my office window, using AutoPano Pro.

Pretty nifty, eh? Apart from a couple of bits where it's skipped stuff - car/flagpole - the auto-stitch software has done a pretty good job.

I like it! Does the road really curve like that or is it just a photographic artefact?

it's an effect of the panorama software - you can render the image in various modes - planar, spherical or tubular. I quite like the fisheye effect of the spherical - planar flattens it out so horizontals are parallel, but it stretches stuff at the sides.
