EB and I were discussing the universe tonight. He came up with a question.

EB: Daddy?
Me: Yes, EB?
EB: how many universes are there?
Me: [thinks] as many as you want there to be.
EB: [pauses for thought] that'll be twenty five then


Seems like a nice sensible sort of number, I reckon. :-)

Oh don't listen to me. Always bossing. It's just that your talks with the beans always remind me of Laing's Conversations with Adam and Natasha and he was a successful author. But he wrote in the context of his psychiatry, and while I think the insights and imagination in the beans' comments are every bit as wonderful and thought provoking, child psychology is not what you're famous for. So while I would buy a book of bean insights, I suppose you wouldn't sell quite as many as R.D. Laing. ...

... ..on the other hand, those insights interspersed with your photography.... that might make a visually and intellectually compelling gift book for the holidays. I think you should aim for a Christmas season publication date. Probably 2010 because it's a bit late for 2009.

...So there I go. Can't stop making suggestions. Now if only I'd come up with ideas like this for myself.
