The Migrating Moleskine has landed back on these shores, up in glorious Scotland with [livejournal.com profile] primitivepeople

Awesome.

Wonder where it'll go next? And when?

:-D

That's an awesome idea. I may have to nick this (and if I can't, could I be so bold as to ask to take part in this one? :))

of course! There's a list of recipients-to-be knocking about which I'll post up soon and add you to it.

But you should definitely do it yourself too. My moleskine even made it to the White House, just after Obama's inauguration. :-)

You wouldn't happen to have heard from [livejournal.com profile] sloopjonb since he deleted his account, would you? I know he hasn't been seen here or on afp for a couple of years, and I just really wanted to make sure he's alright

sounds like Greg has heard from him more recently than me. I had an invitation to join his network over on LinkedIn a couple of weeks back.

Glad he's okay anyway. I was looking up one of my old filks on afp a few weeks ago and found an old post from him...it made me think of how nice it would be to see him back around Livejournal/afp sometimes.

*makes guest appearance to reassure public is still not ded*

Is old. Is 50. Wife also is 50 (only she was 50 first, he he). So we go Switzerland by train, have heap big holiday, ride lots of trains up mountains.

I have been planning this for months: I have worked out every train, every bus, every fare, every connection to the nth degree. I know what platform they all go from, and where the left luggage office is, and what's the best way to get to the best pub in Bern, and when the steamships run from Interlaken to Brienz (only on Sundays).

We visit Paris and Geneva and Montreux on the way there, stay in Wengen for seven nights, and then via Basel, Strasbourg, Paris again (just for a few hours) and finally that London.

Somebody said to me that Hitler didn't do this much planning for invading Russia. Yes, I replied, and he lost, so there.

Lovely to hear from you! (And especially to hear that you aten't ded *g*)

The train trip sounds excellent - hope you both enjoy it.

Any chance you could e-mail me on sphia9341@aol.com and drop me your e-mail number? (Apart from anything else, there might be a book I'll be wanting to plug at you when it's finally finished...*g*)
