dakegrafinished reading John Connolly's 'The Book of Lost Things' last night. I'd picked it up for a quid in some National Trust second hand book place last summer, and it's sat on my bookshelf since then, unread.
I *really* enjoyed it - one of those books where you find yourself thinking just one more chapter, just one more little bit...
It's a fairy story, of sorts. Though a dark and twisted one at that. There are girls in red hoods, little people, wolves, a king, a castle surrounded by thorns, and an evil witch.
It's quite splendidly inventive, and I heartily recommend it.
