Been a while since I posted any reviews. So, here goes

The Road to Bedlam: The Courts of the Feyre, Vol. II, by Mike Shevdon

Fabulous stuff. As the title suggests, it's the second book in a series, the follow-up to the superb Sixty-One Nails. The first book had hints of Neil Gaiman's Neverwhere, with doses of Jim Butcher's Dresden Files thrown in. It's the story of Niall, and his discovery that he's not really one of us, but of Fey heritage. A dark and hidden London (hence the Neverwhere comparisons) full of strange wonders...

This second book is different in tone, and centres on the disappearance of Niall's daughter, and his quest to find out what happened. It's hugely enjoyable and whilst we see our favourite characters from Sixty One Nails cropping up, stranger things happen. I loved Raffmir and his toying with Niall throughout the story.
