I've got a new phone. Woo!


Wandered into the Orange shop at lunchtime to have a look at potential new handsets. The nice assistant helpfully tapped my details into her computer, which promptly said yes, I was due an upgrade, and that the phone I wanted (the HTC Desire S) would be £99.99, thankyouverymuch.


Erm, no. Thanks.

Wandered off, did some shopping, then went into Carphone Warehouse to have a look at some more handsets. The nice assistant there admired my splendid choice in handsets, felt sure they could do something for me, and not 15 minutes later I was outside the shop clutching a brand new very very shiny HTC Desire S. In black. On the same contract that Orange were offering, but without that pesky hundred quid for the handset.


Woo!

Now I just need to wait for the activation messages.

Hmm. Wonder if I can still use my old HTC Hero (silly name, great phone) as a wifi-only handset once the number has transferred over to my new SIM?
