an idle thought about last night's Doctor Who



If the question that is the crux of the matter is, in fact, Doctor who?, then surely River knows the answer?


Because he has told/will tell her his name. So she knows, no?

I'm inclined to agree with this line of reasoning and suspect that the question is less "what is your name?" and more "what is your nature?"
