you know when you're talking to someone, and you're having a hard time getting them to open up and answer questions about stuff, then suddenly you hit on *the* topic of conversation, the one at which they light up and open up and get really animated about?

what's yours? If you and I were talking, what would your favourite subject be?

Without a doubt, art.

'art' is a very wide subject. Paintings, photographs, sculpture? What's your poison?

OH DUDE. It was the best. I really, really enjoyed it. The character designs were wicked neat, and it was all... well, manga-y. Thank you so much ^_^

Writing... table top gaming too. I could talk your EAR off about gaming stories! XD

And slash. Hmmm... LUSH. Definitely LUSH, you'd want me to shut up about that. I get positively gushy about my lushy :)

Hey, a new target to tell all of our gaming stories to! ;)

So, yes, like [livejournal.com profile] caitirin, I can talk about table top gaming and LARPing for far longer than anyone is interested in hearing about.

I can also go on about Warhammer forever. Star Trek, Harry Potter, books in general. If we're near the intertidal, be prepared for a seaweeds and invertebrates lesson.

Photography.   Progressive Rock (and all my experiences in the realm of).     Alyson Hannigan.     What?

Given the condition attached to the question, I'd spare you the topic of cats (mine, in particular).

There are topics of common interest for which my knowledge is limited, so you would have to lead on those.

Gary (Davis; The Artist Shop) hasn't listed it on his Burning Shed page, yet.

ha!

there's a guy at work like that. It's quite entertaining really, you just walk up and mutter something like 'Douwe Egberts' (in-joke, but very funny), or 'have you seen the CCTV cameras that are going up', and step back and watch.

It's like fireworks. Light the touchpaper and retire.

A stranger at a party recently touched on the subject of aeroplanes. Ten minutes later I was still yapping away. Quite embarrassed when I realised.

James Bond is another one.

And what's yours?

ooh, I'd have to think.

Photography, or books. Or films. Err, coffee. My kids.

Gah, I could talk for *days* about them. I have to try really really hard not to, when in company with people who don't have/don't like kids.

mm, I'm sure I could talk bookbinding, having spent a happy summer one year doing it at the university library. Though it was more book repair than proper binding-stuff-from-scratch.

...sorry, I'm interested in all sorts of stuff, and can get animated by most of them - ask the ones who know me IRL :-)

Stalin wasn't stallin'
When he told the beast of Berlin
That they'd never rest contented
Till they had driven him from the land
So he called the Yanks and English
And proceeded to extinguish
The Fuhrer and its vermin
This is how it all began
