I'd argue that a vegetable curry in a decent curry house is always way better than somewhere that sells itself on the whole 'we only do vegetables' thing. I prefer Shabab on Eastgate to Hansa's and always eat better there, either as a vegetarian or a vegan. Just sayin'.
Maybe it's changed since I was last there - it's been a few years since I went. Always had excellent food and service, but I'm getting a bit of Hansa's non-love from people I've talked to recently.
Only been to Shabab once and wasn't that impressed. It was a lunchtime though, and could have been due to that - seem to recall it was a buffet arrangement they had going, which is never as good as the meal you actually order!
