Date: 2011-01-21 02:54 pm (UTC)Then it turns out that Rich won't eat non-meat curry, Darren doesn't like curry full stop, etc etc.
So, it's either just me and him, or we go out for just beer instead.
I'm fairly sure they'd make a milder version if you asked? Unless you've already asked, of course!
I'm in the 'like it fairly spicy' brigade - not *too* fiery, but with a decent kick to go with the flavour. Plus, Hansa's gajjar halwa is the finest dessert ever. Indian carrot cake. NOM.
All of which leads me to the question: Coffee? I know we tried (ish) before christmas, but stuff has settled down a bit now!

Date: 2011-01-21 03:19 pm (UTC)Tuesday should be fine - got a meeting at 2pm which I need to be back for, but free before that. Happy to come up to you. Bottega is wonderful, but down by the Calls, which is quite a trek for me at lunchtime, and significantly further for you!

Date: 2011-01-21 04:03 pm (UTC)It's been a few years since I was in Hansa's, but I've always had a good experience there - the food has been hot and tasty, but then again luckily I don't suffer from any kind of food issues or allergies.
I agree there are better curry restaurants, especially in Bradford. The Aagrah is superb - been to the ones in Garforth, Leeds and down the road in Wakefield and invariably had a great meal.

Date: 2011-01-21 05:31 pm (UTC)I have a few commonly used veggies that I dislike intensely (notably onions and bell peppers) which tend to be in a high percentage of vegetarian restaurant dishes, at least at the places (not indian) I've been around here.

Date: 2011-01-24 02:11 pm (UTC)Only been to Shabab once and wasn't that impressed. It was a lunchtime though, and could have been due to that - seem to recall it was a buffet arrangement they had going, which is never as good as the meal you actually order!
