potential specs: part II

ok, went back to Specsavers again today and tried on some more frames, this time with the assistance of the helpeful assistant.

First up, some Quiksilver frames. Straight-armed at the sides


Then, some Jasper Conran ones


and finally, some ultra-lightweight titanium specs


I can get two pairs, either from this range or from the ones I put up yesterday (assuming I can get the extra free pair from a cheaper range, and just pay for the most expensive).

Still love the Calvin Klein ones, but they're like Marmite - people either go 'oh, YES!' or 'dear god, what were you thinking?'

I like the Quiksilver ones by far the best.

The angular, black framed ones, like yesterday's pairs, make you look like an accountant turned serial killer. And not in a good way.

ack! buying glasses is a nightmare. Everyone's opinion is different (why am I surprised) and half the stuff I like everyone else doesn't, and half the stuff everyone else likes, I'm not sure about.

I think I'll just give up the computer, reading, and spend my days staring into the middle distance.

out f those i like the conran ones best on you, but i´m generally a fan of the more 'prominent' frames... :)

The Conran ones make you look a bit Vic Reeves. It depends on whether or not that's a look you're going for. 1 & 2 are aligned with your eyebrows, 3 are not and the actual lenses are too wide for your face. So I would get 1 AND 2, for different purposes. 1 for subtlety/work, 2 for style/play.

I've chosen some slightly different Quiksilver ones - those have quite squarish corners, whereas the pair I've picked (but not yet bought, plenty of time to change mind etcetc) are more rounded on top.

I actually think a chunkier frame suits you - I like the Jasper Conran ones on you very much, though if I were buying for myself I'd go for the Quiksilver.

Love the Quicksilver (the first ones, right?) As for "yesterdays" choices, I agree the second pair is awesome but the first pair is a decent substitute.

yus, first ones are the quiksilver pair. Though I've chosen a slightly different pair in the end...

I still adore the CK (chunky) pair.
